Atlantic Marine Group, a locally-owned service provider, has partnered with global energy service provider NTS Amega Global, the company is transforming a ten-acre plot and has invested US$10 million in making office space and storage facilities available at Houston, East Bank Demerara, for oil service giants.

NTS Amega Global Guyana Country Manager Pablo Villagra explained he is happy that his company has a joint venture with Atlantic Marine Group saying:
“NTS Amega Global is specialised in manufacture repair, and we are also specialised in welding procedures, especially for non-magnetic processes. These non-magnetic tools and parts that we repair, rent, and manufacture are focused on directional drilling. As you are well aware, Guyana now is one of the key players in the oil and gas industry globally, and deep water is not an easy place to drill. It requires advanced technology, new engineering development, new materials and so on”.
Pablo also added that they are upskilling local employees, sharing with Guyana all the knowledge that they have gained globally. “Here, our personnel are focused on the joint venture to fulfil all the needs for the local market. Most of our employees are scheduled or have already been trained overseas in order to understand how critical the parts and the processes are that have been implemented in Guyana”.
NTS Amega Global opened its facility in Guyana in February 2022 and its partnership with Atlantic Marine Group has been ongoing. The facility was opened by the President of Guyana, Irfaan Alim alongside NTS Amega Global’s Chief Executive Officer, Paul McMillan.
During the opening, Paul highlighted the company’s successful track record in providing solutions for leading industry players such as Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Halliburton and Weatherford. With a strong global presence, NTS Amega Global aims to bring its culture of trust and integrity to the local market in Guyana. Paul McMillan spoke of Guyana’s support during the commissioning ceremony, saying:
“NTS Amega Global is a global provider of rental solutions, complex repairs, and manufacture to support the oil and gas sector. We are located in the USA, Canada, Norway, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore, and we’re very excited to extend our global network to Guyana. As with all our international locations our strategy is based upon establishing a fully localised business.”
